History:

Joker Blog Wiki, Harleen Kopski

Batman Wiki, Harley Quinn

Personality:

Harleen is smart. Smart enough that she basically "rushed through" college and medical school, and ended up working at Arkham and Gotham Memorial in her mid to late twenties. She genuinely believed, when she first graduated, that she could help people, even people like the Joker especially people like the Joker, and she wants to. This seems to stem from something that happened in her childhood involving her mother running off with some high level thug in the Gotham underbelly, and then ending up in Star City's version of Arkham. She promised herself and her father that she'd never become like that, that she'd never end up like her mother.
She is a good doctor, using a variety of treatments in order to help her patients, from medication to hypnosis to art therapy. A problem that she has, however, is getting much too involved with her patients. An example of this is, of course, the Joker. Before meeting him, she was less confident in her abilities to help people or make personal decisions. Over the course of treating him, she becomes more confident in this, and in her own choices.

Which, unfortunately, came with the decision to leave Gotham. Unfortunate, because the Joker had become a little...obsessive with having his own personal doctor at Arkham, and broke out in an effort to orchestrate, among other less related things, her staying.
Before the Joker invaded her wedding and murdered her fiance, she was against corruption and the lax procedures at Arkham. After? After, she uses them to her advantage, and has the Joker committed to solitary maximum security. She intends to leave him here forever, allowing one visit a year and nothing else. She no longer believes that everyone is worth saving, that the Joker is capable of being saved. She suffers from insomnia and nightmares, and occasionally waking hallucinations of both the Joker and her dead fiance. She's slowly becoming the woman who will become Harley Quinn, and the Scarecrow's fear gas, it seems, will be the final catalyst to that.

Harleen suffers from dependent personality disorder.

Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

She will have fluxed in after waking up from Dr Crane's fear gassing, and she'll be....a little more willing to sign a contract and stay than the average flux-in usually is. Given that where she was, there's currently a lockdown in Arkham Asylum, not to mention a riot and more than a few loose sanity-challenged patients, she's not exactly inclined to return.

She'll be surprised by the setting, will adjust to it slowly. She'll also be adjusting to Life After Fear gas, and everything else that happened back home. Integrating the Joker's philosophy into her own. This may, eventually, end up with her manipulating the more...malleable characters and seeing what she can get them to do.

What will your character do for work?

She will be working in the clinic as a psychologist, and she may also open up a small psych office in the merchant dome.

Inventory:

Since she is fluxing in, the only thing she'll have with her are the clothes on her back, including a lab-coat, and what is in her pockets: a silver pen, her Arkham ID badge, her glasses, a wedding ring, a badge for Gotham Memorial and her glasses.
